W Hotel NewarkExcellent review Sacha. I stayed at the W as well and I agree with your assessment. It is clearly aimed at the boutique and hip end of town and it is a very welcomed change to the usual drab and utilitarian hotels you normally find in the US.
I think I stayed in the same styled room as you - the Spectacular Suite. It's more a studio apartment than a hotel room. Funnily enough though, my room came with complimentary wireless access. Even though when you log on, it charges you, the charges were removed when I checked out. But this does depend on the room package you select when booking.
My only gripe is the location. It's really stuck in the middle of nowhere and the lack of restaurants nearby means you do have to drive around to find someplace decent to eat.
