DiRT for the PlayStation 3 is the next in a long line of rally inspired racing simulators from the genius developers at Codemasters. The physics model and stunning graphic capabilities of the PS3 are sure to make DiRT a clear leader in the first generation of racing simulators on the PlayStation 3.

Yep Codemasters are geniuses when it comes to race car simulation. This is Codemasters' first offering for the PS3 right? It will be interesting to see how far they take DIRT. PS3 has been out in the US and Japan market for close on a year, so I am hoping that they have spent the extra time to deliver an graphically rich and realistic gaming experience.

Yes Sach, this looks to be the first serious attempt at proper race simulation on the PS3, with the exception of Formula One Championship Edition. As DiRT for the PlayStation 3 is a rally based game with much more intense graphic requirements as opposed to the relatively spartan surrounds of an F1 game, I will be very interested in how Codemasters manages to produce a game with acceptable frame rate, complex physics and fluid game play. Codemasters has never failed to impress me in all their releases, so I am sure they have worked this release to a point that all serious racing simulation game enthusiasts will be pleased with the results. I will be picking up DiRT for the PS3 shortly and can't wait to do a complete review of Codemasters' DiRT rally game for the PS3 soon after.

Will you be getting a copy of DiRT for the PlayStation 3? Have you purchased a PS3 yet?

If Sony can deliver another price cut on the PS3, I may take the bait and get one. A year on though, as I peruse the shelves of an EB store or Game, I am not seeing many titles for the PS3. Hopefully with Christmas round the corner, Sony and game houses start releasing some must have games.
