Turimetta BeachPosted by sachaf in turimetta, sydney, rocks, northern beaches, moss, morning, Canon EF-S 10-22, Canon 400d |
Turimetta Beach is a spectacular beach which is located about 40 minutes north of Sydney. If you are looking for a secluded beach, then Turimetta is your best bet. It's not apparent that there's a beach there until you actually reach the beach itself. Even long time Northern Beaches residents struggle to tell you anything about Turimetta, when mentioned.
Turimetta is all the more spectacular this year after huge storms washed away the sand to reveal a terraced rock formation. Photographers have discovered the amazing sight and flock down most weekends for spectacular sunrise shots.
Getting to Turimetta is a small challenge. The northern beaches are serviced by buses from Wynyard. You should aim to get yourself North Narrabeen beach which is about half hour walk from Pittwater Road, and from there there's a walkway that will take you up to Turimetta.
