It's not uncommon for guys to try a cupboard full of hair waxes, gels, sprays, texturisers and putties in the quest to find that one special hair product that will instantly make you look like a rock star. We comb through the endless hair gunk section at our local store and test, smell, shake and generally molest the products on offer until we just give in and take a shot in the dark. All this DIY product testing can get very expensive with the cost of some of the "trendy" products out there and we all know how painful it is when you end up throwing away most of them once they take over your bathroom.
Rok Waxx by Dominate is an "extra hard hold" styling wax predominantly targeted toward the male market, but I do know a couple of fashionable young lasses who don't mind the stuff. Unlike the vast majority of wimpy hair waxes out there, Rok Waxx has a much more substantial consistency and the moment you plunge your finger into the product you can instantly tell that this bad boy means business. As the packaging states, the texture of the wax is "chewy, pliable and flexible". We tried Rok Waxx on a few hair types and colours with great performance in all situations. The Dominate hair product even worked well on blonde hair, which is often very tough to achieve and usually results in a nasty greasy look. No such problem with Rok Waxx though, as the finish it gives the hair is great texture and flexible control that you can style repeatedly. The key to get the best results from this hair wax is to use the right amount and not go crazy with it. Like most things in life, you can always have too much of a good thing.
Rok Waxx would suit a variety of hair styles from short spikey textured cuts to longer way out funky noggins. We found Rok Waxx in a local discount cosmetics store for a very reasonable price, but you may have to check out the company's website http://www.dominatehair.com/ to find a retail location near you.
The verdict on Rok Waxx by Dominate is a big thumbs up and we look forward to testing the other products in their range to see if they can follow in the footsteps of this "hardcore" gem.
